In 1986, with the release of FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH PART 6: JASON LIVES, Signet Books released the first F13 book ever to be published. The book, by Simon Hawke, was the novelization of the film JASON LIVES. A year later Signet  published another novelization, also written by Simon Hawke. This time it was of the original FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH film, which had been released seven years earlier. Then, in 1988, Signet published what was to be their last two F13 novelizations, FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH PART 2 and  FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH PART 3 (which was originally released as FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH 3-D). Simon Hawke did his usual fantastic job on the writing, but due to the fact that these were novelizations of films that had been released years earlier they did not prove to be the money makers Signet had thought. Thus, no further novelizations were produced.......
