The year is 2455. The place Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated world abandoned for centuries-----a world of violant storms, toxic landmasses, and poisonous seas. Yet humans have returned----not to live but to study.....
Decending into the darkness, a group of student explorers and a tech-droid enter the ancient underground remains of the Crystal Lake Research Facility, where five of the researchers make an unexpected archaelogical find. They find two frozen bodies-----a young woman and a large male wearing a strange mask. Only problem is that somehow the auto-regeneration procedure was somehow started and the cryo-jelly encasing the bodies has started to melt.
Knowing that the two bodies will soon thaw and start to deteriorate, the young explorers blast off in their starship----The Grendel----and make course for Earth II.
But, unknown to them they are about to come face to face with an ancient undead evil.......
