Road Trip

"Honk if you love Jason!"

On an early September morning, two men speed into the town of Crystal Lake,

anxious to get away from their wives and to out-do their friends by exploring

the famed Crystal Hill cave. While on their way, sirens blare in the background

as a local trooper pulls Donnie and Stu over for speeding and warns them about

the town's bloody past. After letting them off with a warning, the trooper

leaves and Donnie and Stu completely ignore his words of wisdom and continue on

their adventure to Crystal Hill.

Meanwhile, in the nearby town of Carville, the Carville High School Hornets'

football team is trailing in their game and the cheerleaders and team mascot

urge them to make a comeback. On the field, the quarterback, Dave Myers, throws

a touchdown pass to star receiver Slick in the closing seconds of the game for a

victory. After the game, Coach Wardell allows the 3 MVP's of the game to pick a

date and ride home with him and Teddy, the geeky team mascot, in the team van.

The 3 MVPs were Dave, Slick and Russ Johnson, the star linebacker. Dave chose

his girlfriend Missy, the head cheerleader, and Russ chose Belinda, also a

cheerleader. Slick eventually chose his ex-girlfriend Summer to go along.

The 6 teens fall asleep in the van as it begins to storm outside. Suddenly, a

violent shake awakens Summer, who notices that the bus has stopped following

them. The rest of the teens awake soon after and they all blame Teddy for

getting them lost. Teddy is frantically looking through maps, when Slick throws

a football at him and bounces off his head, causing Coach Wardell to lose

control of the van and wreck into a giant Oak tree.

Nearby on Crystal Hill, Donnie and Stu finally reach the cave opening and

proceed to explore inside. Once inside, Donnie finds a back passage and leaves

Stu to go explore by himself. Stu then finds some writing on the wall, but cant

make out what it says. He is then interrupted by Donnie yelling that he found

something like a shrine, when his sentence is cut off by the sound of flapping

wings. Stu yells for Donnie but gets no answer. He then decides to go get help,

when a giant bat emerges and sinks his teeth deep into his neck.

Back at the van, Coach orders the teens to remain at the van until he returns

with help. The group becomes impatient and decides to go find help on their own.

Everyone except Teddy left, who was forced to stay at the van by himself until

Coach returned. The group walks up a dirt road in the now pouring down rain when

Missy finds a sign hidden in the weeds that reads "Welcome to Camp Crystal

Lake." Slick then tells the legend of Crystal Lake to try and scare the group,

but no one believes him and they continue on to find the old abandoned campsite

of Camp Crystal Lake.

The group runs for shelter to the nearest cabin. The girls then decided to get

dry and change out of their wet clothes into thier cheerleading uniforms. When

they return, along with Slick and Dave, who went to sneak a peek at them, Missy

finds a old Coke bottle and they decide to play spin the bottle. All goes well

until Summer has to kiss Russ, which upsets Belinda and causes her to storm out

of the cabin with Russ close behind. With the game ruined, Slick and Summer

decide to explore on their own and leave Dave and Missy behind.

Back at the van, Teddy is trying to change the tire when the van mysteriously

comes to life and rams into a nearby oak tree before dying again. Teddy is drawn

to the tree as if in a trance and for some reason sticks his hand deep in the

wood of the tree until something bites his hand. When he pulls his arm back out

the mask of Jason Voorhees is attached to his hand. Teddy begins to feel weird

but proceeds to put the mask on. Teddy screams in pain as his body and muscles

grow and the mask possesses his soul. Teddy would now show those jocks and

cheerleaders who was boss.

Elsewhere in the woods, the trooper pulls out two people from the trunk of his

patrol car, which happen to be his wife Tina and her lover on the side Cliff

that he caught in the act. Gagged and tied, he drags Tina and Cliff up into the

woods and puts a gun in Cliff's hand and forces him to shoot Tina in the chest.

When he goes to place a gun in Tina's hands, he is shocked to find she is still

alive. She distracts the trooper while Cliff, who managed to get untied, runs

off deeper into the woods. The trooper chases after Cliff and Tina crawls back

down the hill, right into the arms of Coach Wardell.

Tina tries to tell Coach what is going on, but she dies in his arms. The trooper

finally catches up to Cliff and fires five shots into his chest and kills him.

He walks back to find Tina but is greeted by Coach Wardell, who outstretches his

arms thinking he finally found help. Instead, the trooper fires his last shot

into Coach's chest and kills him. Out of bullets, the trooper turns around and,

to his surprise, comes face to face with Teddy, who is wearing the mask of Jason

Voorhees. Teddy strikes the trooper in the head with a tire iron and kills him.

Back at Cabin One, Missy pissed Dave off until he finally couldn't take it

anymore, so he ran out of the cabin. Missy then tries to follow him but ends up

getting lost. She finds her way to what remains of the carnival that was there a

couple of months ago. She then spots Teddy standing on the carousel wearing the

Buzzy Bee mascot head. She goes up to him and whines about Dave until Teddy

suddenly throws her on the ground and stabs her in the neck with the bee stinger

from the costume. The only problem with that was it had Missy's own knitting

needles attached to it.

Meanwhile, Russ finds Belinda sitting on the porch of a cabin and tries to make

amends with her. When that fails, Russ leaves her and heads back to find the

others and Belinda remains on the porch furious at her boyfriend. Suddenly, she

hears a sound from inside the cabin. When she goes inside to investigate, she

finds nothing but a coin. When she looks up, Teddy, who is hanging upside down

from the ceiling, bashes her head open with a tire iron.

Dave is walking through the woods, when he comes across the outhouse. He goes

inside to take a dump and finds Russ inside. Russ leaves and tells him to meet

back at the van, but when Russ leaves, Teddy enters and beats Dave to a pulp.

Dave fights back, but Teddy has amazing strength. He pins Dave as if he were in

a wrestling match and then rips out his throat.

Summer and Slick, who were down at the dock, make their way back to the cabins.

However, they end up finding an old lodge and they go in to explore. When Summer

enters the lodge, someone is playing on the piano but she can't see who. Before

she gets a good look at who it was, Slick kisses her and they go and make out on

top of a old desk, but then Slick cuts his hand on the desk's edge. Their

passion is then further interrupted by Russ screaming at the top of his lungs

outside.

Summer and Slick race to see what's wrong when Russ explains that Belinda has

been killed. Shocked, the three run back to the van, but are stopped when a

swarm of bats attacks Slick's open wound. Hundreds of bats drain every ounce of

blood out of Slick's body, despite attempts by Russ and Summer to pull them off.

Russ picks up Summer and carries her back to the van yelling at her that he is

dead and they must save themselves.

When they reach the spot where the van was, it is not there anymore. Then, all

of a sudden, from down in the woods, the van roars to life and speeds at them.

Summer and Russ barely make it out of the way of the van when it explodes,

sending Russ and Summer to the ground. Teddy comes from out of nowhere and

knocks out both Summer and Russ with one blow.

Teddy then carries Summer up to Crystal Hill and places her on an altar in the

same cave that Donnie and Stu died in earlier. Then, pulling out an X-Acto

knife. Teddy prepares to rip out Summer's heart. Great, first the van wrecked

and then Teddy went wacko and now this? How could Summer possibly survive being

sacrificed on Jason's altar of terror?
