Jason's Curse

"Jason's gone fishing...And he's using live bait!"

Jason Voorhees is only a legend-- or is he? Years after he supposedly was taken

to hell, the murders just started up again, this time claiming eleven and

leaving only one survivor, young teenager Carly McDonnell.

Now, one year later, Carly has put her life back together, but Kelly Boone, the

sister of Billy Boone, one of the victims, is going berserk over her traumatic

loss. All she can think about is "what if?" See, Kelly was supposed to accompany

Billy and the others on their trip, but due to an illness, she was left out.

She has absolutely nothing going for her. She failed to apply to college after

high school graduation, she has been fired from many dead-end jobs, and has a

two-timing boyfriend. She now finds herself sharing a house with that two-timing

boyfriend Doug, Latino macho-man Miguel, and his girlfriend Tina, who can't

stand Miguel, but still goes out with him. They all think she is crazy, but the

nightmares she has had about Camp Crystal Lake and Jason Voorhees are too

horrible to forget.

Kelly clings to the past, complete with her notebook full of notes and newspaper

clippings about Jason, including the most recent round of murders out there a

year ago that claimed her brother.

Kelly finally decides that enough is enough and after a year, it is time to put

her plan into motion. She tells her house-mates what she plans to do, and they

think she is crazy. But then again, who doesn't? Kelly wants to go to Camp

Crystal Lake and kill Jason and avenge Boone's death.

Miguel is the only one enthused about going "monster-hunting" as he called it.

Tina wants no part of it, but goes along for the ride. Doug goes along to keep

her company and with hopes of scoring with her. So they set out, with no clue to

the horror they are about to encounter.

Deep in the woods at Camp Crystal Lake, all that remains is a vast, abandoned

campsite, with a good lake to fish. Big Red Gleason, a "slow" 45-year-old man

with one eye, one good leg and a knack for NOT catching fish, puts his boat in

Crystal Lake and manages to hook the catch of the day-- the blood-stained mask

of Jason Voorhees.

While Kelly and her friends embark on their journey, Big Red goes on a journey

of his own-- a killing spree to claim all those who have hurt him in the past.

His first vision is of his father. As a baby, Red used to cry a lot, and one

time, his father got so drunk and so angry that he hit Red in the forehead with

a red-hot iron, leaving a permanent V-shaped scar on his forehead. Big Red blew

a hole in his stomach at close-range with a shotgun. His mother, whom he blamed

for not being there to protect him, was next. He blew her brains out. Then,

quick to not forget his chores, he fed the hogs, with their bodies.

As soon as Big Red leaves, his Uncle Tuck arrives at the house to check on them.

He finds the place empty, and as he leaves, he fails to notice that one of the

hogs has a human hand sticking out of its mouth.

Meanwhile, Kelly and company arrive in Crystal Lake and are met by Tuck, who

warns them that the population is 287, and counting DOWN. He also said that Camp

Crystal Lake is a "death camp" and that they should turn around and go home.

When his efforts failed, the poor hillbilly attempts to get money out of Kelly,

and grabs her throat. Miguel saves her with a karate chop that sent Tuck reeling

and then running off.

Tuck decides that since he is so hungry, he should go fishing to get his meal.

He used rather large, blood-sucking leeches as his bait. The leeches have gotten

bigger over the years, according to locals. And they were only plentiful in one

lake--Crystal Lake.

Big Red is hiding in the woods and he sees Tuck heading into the lake. Just

then, he recalls a rather frightful flashback. On a hunting trip when he was 12,

Pa, Tuck, and Uncle Bud were not able to catch anything, mostly because they

were drunk. They blamed Big Red. Tuck said he was gonna start hunting Big Red

and that he had 10 seconds to start running. Red ran, but after the 10 seconds,

Tuck launched an arrow-- and connected with Big Red's eye--costing him his eye.

Red's flashback ended, and his fury and anger grew.

Tuck is just about to go into the lake, when he sees a dollar bill lying on the

ground. He goes over to pick it up and winds up with a fishing hook in his hand.

Screaming in pain, it was as if Tuck was baited to pick up the dollar. Now, with

the fishing hook in his hand, Tuck was being reeled in by Big Red, who would

have his revenge.

Kelly and the others go to a local diner, where they meet waitress Darlene, who

just arrived in town from nearby Cranville, to replace the old waitress who was

hacked up by Jason. After flirting with Doug, and pissing Kelly off, they leave

and set out for camp.

Once they arrive, Kelly for the second time thinks she sees her brother standing

by one of the cabins. She runs toward him, but the others still think she is

totally nuts.

Red next goes to the house of Bud Jr., where Uncle Bud is going to babysit his

cousins Cassie and James while Bud Jr. and his wife Jessie go out on a date. Red

arrives, and Cassie and James think it is play time, and they start to playfully

run from him. They ran upstairs, where little Billy, the youngest son and still

a baby, started to cry. Red's conscience broke through, and he tried to calm the

kids down. Then he heard it-- the sharp whine of the chainsaw from the workshop.

Big Red then recalls yet another disturbing flashback. When he was 14, Pa, Tuck

and Bud were doing a construction project and Red always wanted to try the

chainsaw. He was never allowed, until his mother left and the trio got drunk.

After being heavily inebriated as well, he was finally given permission to use

the chainsaw by Bud. So, Red went over, started it up, and sawed right through

the lumber-- and his entire left leg. Ever since then, he has had that blue

lucite leg of his.

With the anger and fury now reaching a boiling point, Red kicks Cassie and James

against the wall and drops little Billy in his crib with a thud, before making

his way down to the basement to get his revenge on Bud.

Back at camp, Kelly sets her plan in motion. They choose Cabin Five to set as a

decoy. They put wet clothes by the window, and light a candle on the windowsill,

to make it look like they are staying there. Then, they dig a huge trap right

before the cabin porch, complete with sharp spikes at the bottom. Now all they

had to do was wait.

At their house, Bud Jr. and Jessie return to find their liquor cabinet

smashed--and their children dead. Then they found Bud butchered and wedged into

a dollhouse that they were building.

Kelly's plan included three-hour shifts at a time so they could all get some

sleep. They hid in the cabins surrounding Cabin Five, and hoped that Jason would

show up and fall in so Kelly could have her revenge. Kelly and Miguel took the

first shift. Nothing. Then Doug and Tina, who had flirted with each other

seemingly the entire trip, took their shift. After an hour, they got bored and

went for a walk, where they started making out. It then started getting a little

more than that, when Doug made a new discovery--an abandoned treehouse in the

middle of the woods. They went up there for some more games before they heard a

noise down below. They looked down and climbing up toward them was the

hockey-masked killer of Crystal Lake.

Distressed, Doug and Tina went and hid in the back corner of the treehouse,

where it was pitch black. Big Red climbed into his treehouse, the one Pa, Tuck

and Bud had supposedly built for him, but never let him use. Now with them gone,

he could finally use it. Only now, Red was drunk. So drunk that the amount of

liquor he had drank would have killed a normal size man. So Red passed out and

fell to the floor with a thud as Doug and Tina make a narrow escape and decide

not to mention it to the others or else they would want to know what Doug and

Tina were doing there in the first place.

The next morning, they are all disappointed, when Miguel finds Kelly again

digging, this time deep in the woods. "The Apache Scout Nest" as Kelly called

it, was there as a last resort if Jason would chase them. It was a deep hole in

the ground that Indians supposedly used to hide from Cowboys in the old days.

The Cowboys would show up and the Indians would have vanished, when in fact,

they were hiding right below them under the ground. Kelly told Miguel that all

he had to do was jump in the hole and pull the dirt lid over top of him and he

was safe. Miguel loved it.

After completing the Apache Scout Nest, Kelly and Miguel joined Doug and Tina

for breakfast, a hearty granola bar. Then Kelly bragged about she and Boone

could survive days in the woods with only a knife. They laughed at her, but she

showed them how serious she was by devouring a nearby grasshopper and totally

grossing them out. Nearby, Big Red heard them laughing and they reminded him of

the kids that used to pick on him when he was younger. He then knew that they

too would have to pay.

Kelly then tells them Plan B, in which Doug would stay at camp in case Jason

arrives and she and Miguel and Tina would split up into two teams and go into

town to try to "fundraise money", with the main point being to inform them that

they are staying at camp. So, Kelly, Miguel and Tina leave, and Doug goes to

sleep.

Doug was soon startled out of sleep by a noise outside. When he opens his eyes,

standing there is Darlene, the waitress from town he had so loved flirting with.

After exchanging pleasantries, they agreed to get together in Cabin Five. Doug

then said he would look around to make sure no one was around, nearly forgetting

to tell her about the trap. So, Darlene went into the cabin and Doug went to

look around. He called out for Miguel, Tina, and most importantly, Kelly, and

when no one answered, he headed back to the cabin.

When he opened the door, he was scared out of his mind. Darlene was there,

alright. There were pieces of her strewn all over the cabin and blood all over

the place. He then looks in the corner of the cabin and sees the hockey-masked

killer of Crystal Lake, ax in hand. Falling backward, Doug staggers out onto the

porch. With Red raising the ax over him, he has no choice but to jump

backward--and unknowingly fall into the trap. With Big Red looking surprised,

Doug's dead body lay there with the spikes sticking out of him in many pieces.

Miguel and Tina returned later that afternoon and sit at the lake with their

bogus tape-recording scheme down the drain. Sitting at the lake, Tina informs

Miguel about the night she had last night with Doug and that she was going to

dump him when they got back to Newkirk. Distressed, Miguel started to cry. Tina

leans over to console him and sees the reflection of the ax-wielding maniac she

saw with Doug the night before. She screamed and jumped into the lake and the ax

shot missed. Miguel, scared beyond belief, peed his pants and ran into the

woods, with Big Red in hot pursuit. Tina continues to swim out into Crystal

Lake, going to the opposite side. Miguel, running through the woods, is getting

a lead on Red and then he remembers that the Apache Scout Nest is there. He

leaps in and is concealed from view. Big Red is lost. He has no clue. But then

the ghost of Billy Boone appears and gives away Miguel's hiding spot. Red then

chops him up with the ax.

Back in town, Officer Donner charges out of Denny's Diner and gets in his car to

head to camp, saying that the "dumb kids" are at it again.

Tina, meanwhile, is in a world of hurt. She is growing weaker by the minute. And

the worse thing is that she is naked. She spread her clothes out on the lake to

use as a decoy in case Red came back. She slowly made her way back to the dock,

but when she got on the dock, she tried to scream, but couldn't. Her body was

totally covered with blood-sucking leeches, the same ones Tuck had mentioned

earlier. And those things sucked and sucked--until all the blood was drained out

of her body.

Kelly arrives soon after, and finds only their tape recorder, which was left

there by Miguel when he ran off. She rewinded the tape and played it back and

heard Tina's message to Miguel. Betrayed, Kelly started to cry and was about to

throw the recorder into the lake--when Tina's scream played. Kelly dropped the

recorder and ran.

Kelly comes to a clearing and notices the police car up ahead, lights flashing.

She goes over and there was a man in uniform alright, but it wasn't Officer

Donner. It was the hockey-masked killer in disguise. He had recently dispatched

Officer Donner with an ax in the stomach and was now pointing his gun directly

at her.

Screaming, Kelly ran, noticing the first shot whizzing by. The second shot

connected, however, and nailed her shoulder. The third shot also hit, this time

her foot. She knew she had to survive six shots total in order to be able to get

anywhere. She was able to dodge shots four, five and six alright, but seven as

well! This meant that somehow this maniac had gotten her gun as well. She knew

there was no way she could make it to twelve. Shot number eight blew a hole into

her hand and nearly caused her to pass out. She was rapidly losing blood as shot

nine rang out and struck a tree next to her. Kelly, remembering the Apache Scout

Nest, jumps right into it--and onto Miguel's body. Screaming, she falls

backward--and Big Red is right on her. He holds the gun to her temple, but then

his conscience kicked in. He had a flashback of how some people were nice to him

and how Kelly reminded him of one of those nice people. Kelly used this delay to

her advantage, grabbing the gun and firing the last three shots--one off of his

lucite leg, the other two directly into his stomach at close range.

She then attacked Red with a large stick, which wound up in the eyehole of the

mask, and popping out the eyeglass. With limited vision, Red chased her through

the woods, but didn't see her hide in the treehouse. Red continued on toward

Cabin Five, where the radio they had set was still playing, but dying slowly. It

was just enough to distract Big Red. Kelly knew the only way she could survive

was to get that mask off of his face. So she ran to get the ax.

She is just about to retrieve the ax, when the spirit of her brother appears and

says that it was "his ax". He then called Red out of Cabin Five to finish the

job. Red, not remembering the trap, falls in, but is not killed, as Doug's body

took most of the fall.

Betrayed by her brother, losing consciousness, and with the killer closing in,

how could Kelly possibly survive this night at Camp Blood?
